DAY ONE - Literature Circles

Considering that my reading levels represented in my classroom are anywhere from an eighteen to twenty-eight, day one of actual implementation of literature circles went pretty well. They of course needed a LOT of coaching. We started on Monday with a whole class period of instruction on what each role in the literature circle does through a powerpoint. The students create bubble maps to summarize the roles. We are using Miss Rumphius.
